Varaždinske Toplice is the oldest thermal spa, whose history dates back to Roman times, when the Romans used the thermal spring for healing. The name Toplissa was first mentioned in the Middle Ages. At the beginning of the 17th century the old wooden building was renovated. The modern thermal spa and the beginning of health tourism was founded in 1820. Life here was special and fun, and Varaždinske Toplice is one of the most important thermal resorts in Europe.
